Casa Santa Iaca - in Vitigliano (Santa Cesarea Terme)

In the heart of Vitigliano, a small village within the municipality of Santa Cesarea Terme and just a few minutes from the sea, Casa Santa Iaca is a family home that preserves the memory of a land shaped by stone, tobacco, and a strong sense of community.

The name pays tribute to Vita Maria, our great-grandmother. For generations, the women of the village worked with tobacco in the courtyards and fields surrounding Vitigliano. Among the varieties cultivated here was Xanthi Yaka, affectionately transformed by local dialect into "Santa Iaca", almost as if it were a saint watching over everyday work and family life.

The house offers 130 square metres of bright and welcoming spaces. Its spacious living room, crowned by traditional Salento star-vaulted ceilings, is the heart of the home and reflects the architectural heritage of the region.

Guests will find a fully equipped kitchen, a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a twin bedroom, a second full bathroom, a private garden and a terrace where summer evenings can be enjoyed in the peaceful atmosphere of the village.

Vitigliano is a place where community remains an essential part of daily life. Local festivals, open courtyards, neighbours chatting in the streets and traditions passed down through generations still shape the rhythm of the village today.

From here, it is easy to explore Castro, Santa Cesarea Terme, the Zinzulusa Cave, Cala dell'Acquaviva, Porto Miggiano, Otranto and some of the most beautiful stretches of the Salento coastline.
